Protest demo in Germany before Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern München match

On 23 November, a group of Borussia Dortmund supporters and trade unionists staged a protest ahead of the match between Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern München in Dortmund.

Dozens of protestors gathered in front of the Signal Iduna Park stadium and held placards reading “A real Scandal; Turkish Airlines: Anti-worker and hostile towards the union; 305 people were dismissed by SMS; It can’t go on like this!”, beating drums and chanting slogans before the match began at the at Signal Iduna Park stadium. Protestors also distributed flyers produced by the ITF.

The protest was called by The Dortmund DGB district leadership through Fanmaile. Turkish /Kurdish community groups, ATIF, Bir-Kar and AGİF supported the action.

In the coming weeks similar protests will be staged in Germany in different cities in coordination by fan groups and trade unions.
