Press Release issued by the unions

Workers from Latam in Argentina canceled a 24-hour strike after the country’s Labor Ministry issued a mandatory conciliation order by the company’s request.

“We abide by the mandatory conciliation and suspend the effect of the strike for 15 working days,” said unions in a statement. The conciliation meeting was scheduled for May 22.

Workers decided to go on strike Thursday after an assembly that led to flight delays and cancellations in Jorge Newbery and Ezeiza airports. One of their complaints regarded the transfer of A320 planes from Latam Argentina to other countries where the company operates.
