Air strike, Alitalia cancels 172 flights (italy24news.com)

The twenty-four hour strike on Friday 24 September is forcing Alitalia to cancel 172 flights in three days, of which 161 on the same Friday (62% of the total), but also eight Thursdays and another three Saturdays. what you can read on the airline’s website where you can see the complete list of connections that will jump between both national and international ones. Another 39 flights – operated by different carriers – will instead be guaranteed in any case, as established by a communication from the National Civil Aviation Authority.

The strike was jointly proclaimed by Filt Cgil, Fit Cisl, Uiltrasporti and Ugl Air Transport in defense of the workers of Alitalia, Air Italy, Ernest, Blue Panorama, Air Dolomiti, Norwegian, of all foreign airlines based and employees in our country , airport management companies, handling and catering companies and all seasonal and precarious workers in the sector.
