MORE than 100 Tiger flight attendants are in limbo with the grounding of the budget airline.

While Tiger chiefs were locked in crisis talks in Melbourne yesterday, casually employed fight attendants have heard nothing.

A Tiger flight attendant, who asked to remain anonymous, said cabin crew had already been hit hard by the volcanic ash crisis.

About 80 per cent of Tiger cabin crew were employed by contractor Altara, which has said nothing to its employees.

“I would have thought that, when an incident like this goes down, a concerned employer would make someone available,” the employee said.

“There’s been nothing from them. There’s a lot of casual crew who are hurting at the moment.”
