TG and AOT unions meet with ITF aviation in Bangkok

April 7, 2011

Leaders from the TG and AOT unions met in Bangkok to share information with the ITF civil aviation section.  Athipat Netsuwan, leader of the TG union in charge of international affairs, expressed his satisfaction for a very productive meeting. The leaders heard from Gabriel Mocho Rodriguez the latest decisions adopted in Congress that helped them to plan ahead.  New possibilities to organise workers without a union aroused when analysing the outsourcing policies of the aviation companies in Thailand. The ITF aviation unions are working in coordination in order to defend the workers in spite of a weak labour legislation. As a result, the TG union has developed a “Solidarity Webboard” to handle solidarity messages with ITF unions (in English).
