Dear Sisters and Brothers,
FIFA is in crisis. Nine officials have been arrested and charged with corruption. The Zurich headquarters has been raided, with documents seized in connection with the Qatar World Cup.
Despite all this, all indications are that the FIFA World Congress will vote today for more of the same — to re-elect Sepp Blatter and continue the cover up of human rights abuses in Qatar.
The world is watching. And like never before, the international media is focused on FIFA, reporting on how the people from around the globe are reacting. So, let’s send them a message they can’t miss.
Right now, hundreds of us are taking to Twitter to dominate the #FIFACongress hashtag to tell FIFA that whatever the result, FIFA must demand and end to slavery in Qatar.
