Romanian government to sell 20% holding in Tarom

The Romanian government has approved a plan to partially privatize Tarom. The airline was not included among a list of state-owned entities the government said earlier this year it would privatize, though the carrier’s privatization has been speculated about for some time.

According to a government statement, the newly approved plan provides for the sale of a 20% stake in Tarom, which is currently 95%-owned by Romania’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
