ITF continue to play a vital role in ICAO’s 40th General Assembly

For the past two weeks, an ITF delegation of 20 people from 14 countries, representing both women and young transport workers have participated in the ICAO Assembly.

At this assembly the ITF proposed the formalisation of an International Cabin Crew Day which was broadly adopted by ICAO’s Executive Committee. The ITF also contributed significant interventions on issues related to economic liberalisation and the environment.

Our participation at the Assembly allows aviation workers in over 140 countries to have a voice and this is critical as the aviation industry continues to grow and develop new ways of working.
