International Aircraft Cabin Air Conference

August 29, 2017

The International Aircraft Cabin Air Conference will be held at the Imperial College London, on 19 – 20 September 2017. The ITF is one of the sponsors of the conference.

The ITF is supporting this two-day Conference as we believe that it will provide an excellent opportunity for our aviation affiliates seeking to better understand the historical aspects of contaminated air, the flight safety implications, the latest scientific and medical evidence investigating the contaminated air debate and the solutions available to airlines and aircraft operators.

Cabin air quality is paramount in ensuring crew members and pilots are experiencing a safe working environment and that passengers are enjoying a clean air supply whilst on-board any aircraft. Cabin air quality is treated as a priority issue by the Aviation Section over the last four years: http://www.itfglobal.org/en/transport-sectors/civil-aviation/in-focus/air-quality

Moreover, after years of campaigning for safe cabin air quality, together with other stakeholders the ITF contributed significantly to the new International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Guidelines on education, training and reporting of fume events: http://www.itfglobal.org/en/news-events/news/2016/february/new-icao-guidelines-a-big-achievement-for-itf

We strongly recommend to all our aviation affiliates to take part in this important Conference. As the ITF is sponsoring the Conference, our affiliates will be eligible for a 40 percent discount.
