Ground handling workers’ demonstration 

on EU Ground Handling Regulation

A binding social dimension is needed to protect the workers in case of call for tenders and partial loss of activities

Enrique Carmona, ETF Civil Aviation Section Chair and François Ballestero, ETF Political Secretary, will present the ETF views on the importance of having a social and balanced EU Regulation on ground handling services.

There will be an opportunity to interview professionals coming from across Europe. More than 500 activists are expected to take part in the demonstration. They will meet with MEPs from their respective countries.

The European Parliament (EP) is the voice of the European citizens. Later on this year, the EP will vote on this dossier. The ETF organises this demonstration to make the MEPs aware of the need to include a strong social provision in the Ground Handling Regulation.
