12,000 plus Delta Cabin Crew say YES! (IAM)

January 15, 2015

A voice is within reach for Delta Cabin Crew!

On the 13 January the IAM delivered more than 12,000 election autorisation cards (‘a-cards’) – approximately 60 percent of more than 20,000 Delta Flight Attendants – to the National Mediation Board (NMB), a federal agency, demanding the NMB conduct a representation election on our behalf. The NMB is expected to order an election in the next four to six weeks.

An overwhelming majority of us have demanded a vote for IAM representation. It is the largest amount of employees who have ever requested a representation election in airline industry history. The ever-shrinking minority continues to fade as Delta Flight Attendants reject fear and dependency and embrace hope and empowerment.

We can be proud, but we have a lot of work ahead of us. We need to reach out and connect with every single Delta Flight Attendant and urge them to vote Yes for the IAM so we can gain a Voice in our professional future. Now’s the time to wear our lapel pins proudly and display our IAM Delta bag tags on every trip.

And remember, Delta Corporate is strictly prohibited by federal law from ever knowing who votes Yes for the IAM. Our vote is secret.
