Sir Stelios outlines Africa airline plans (Financial Times)

Africa is a step closer to getting a taste of Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou’s brand of low-cost flying, with the easyJet founder set to become a shareholder and board member of an African budget airline with a London listing.

FastJet, the company’s proposed name, is preparing to launch services in Ghana, possibly in three months’ time, using a business model devised by Sir Stelios’s easyGroup and aircraft decked in a familiar orange hue.
